Music With Mrs. Tanenblatt

About

Welcome to my Music Education blog!
My name is Rachel Tanenblatt and I am an elementary music educator teaching public school music and chorus in the state of Maryland. As a professional who is constantly seeking to learn and adapt, I am always trying out new ideas and concepts in my classroom and I will share them here with you!

A Little About Me
I am originally from Long Island, New York and received my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and my Master's in Education with a concentration in Kodály Music from the American Kodály Institute at Loyola University. In the summers I currently teach Materials I at AKI, as well! I live in Maryland with my husband and our delightful children. When not teaching or blogging, I also gig and sing as a professional chorister.

About Music With Mrs. Tanenblatt
I started this blog to be able to share interesting new teaching ideas and I quickly discovered that I also wanted to be able to share high quality resources with other music teachers. That's why I started my Teachers Pay Teachers store in 2014. Making resources has been a wonderful journey for me, during which I've become friends with some amazing music teacher-authors and I also have the privilege of being a member of The TpT Music Crew. I love getting the chance to be creative and design materials that are functional yet pretty!
